Stormy or Stony? is a watercolor inspired by closeup exploration of an urban industrial warehouse in Dayton weathered by time and the elements. A decaying rock foundation appears as a stormy landscape, The crumbling foundations looks like a serious meteorological event.
This watercolor painting was painted on an Ampersand Museum Series 1.5 Clayboard Panel. Cradles are constructed using premium grade 13-ply birch plywood which can be framed, stained or painted to match any decor. 1.5" Depth allows for traditional canvas-style framing or floater frames. This painting was sealed with a UV protective fixative so it does not need to be framed under glass in normal conditions.
