Past Lives Revealing Themselves - 6" x 6" x 1.5" - Watercolor on Clayboard Cradled Panel

Abstract inspired by a warehouse with layers of peeling paint reveal passage of time that this building has endured. The resulting patina of heavily peeling layers of paint with shadows under the protruding chips is beautiful.

This watercolor painting was painted on an Ampersand Museum Series 1.5 Clayboard Panel. Cradles are constructed using premium grade 13-ply birch plywood which can be framed, stained or painted to match any decor.  1.5" Depth allows for traditional canvas-style framing or floater frames. This painting was sealed with a UV protective fixative so it does not need to be framed under glass in normal conditions.
